Magnolia Rose Bulldogs LLC

Health Guarantee

We stand behind our puppies with a two-year genetic health guarantee. All puppies sold by Magnolia Rose Bulldogs LLC are in the best possible health to the best of our ability and knowledge. While our puppies are in our care, we feed them well and give them the best care possible to grow into strong and healthy pets for years to come.

Each puppy is checked by a licensed veterinarian, who determines that the puppies are healthy & ready to go live with their new owners. Shot and Deworming records are given to our buyers at the time of pick-up/delivery.

Our dogs receive a complete panel of breed-recommended genetic tests. At Magnolia Rose Bulldogs LLC, we will not breed any dog that is affected by any of the diseases that their breed is tested for. If dog is a known carrier of any disease we will not pair that dog with another dog that is also a carrier of that known disease. This warrants our puppies to be free from any of the genetic diseases that the Ladies and Studs have been tested for.

Magnolia Rose Bulldogs LLC

2 Year Health Guarantee

As a breeder, we are constantly growing in our knowledge and what we should and should not be doing for our puppies. With this growth, we have updated our contract to include what age the Dog must be for spay/neuter as we have learned that early spay and neuter can be detrimental to the dogs forever health.

For our Health Guarantee, we require waiting until at least 12-18 months of age for spay/neuter as early spay/neuter has been found to increase the risks of joint disorders, impact urinary health, and increase cancer among other things. Females, in addition to being at least 12-18 months of age must have gone through at least one heat cycle. The heat cycle for females releases hormones that are beneficial for bladder maturity as well as joint health and overall development. Early spay/neuter before 12- 18 months of age (both males and females) & prior to females first heat voids Health Guarantee.

Our 24 Months of Age Genetic Health Guarantee covers the following listed conditions:

If determined to have one of the following listed conditions within the first 24 months of life, Seller will replace Puppy with Puppy of equal value or refund 50% of the purchase price of the Puppy.

Seller guarantees until two years of age Puppy against moderate to severe hip dysplasia which would reduce Puppy’s quality of life. If there is evidence of hip dysplasia, the Puppy must go to a veterinarian that specializes in PennHIP

The Distraction Index (DI) will not be used to determine hip dysplasia as this is a risk indicator only. The Osteoarthritis (OA) Findings will be used to determine hip dysplasia and must indicate moderate OA or severe OA on either or both hips for health guarantee.

Seller guarantees until two years of age Puppy against congenital cardiac disease. If there is a concern for congenital cardiac disease, Buyer must go to a board certified cardiologist and complete an OFA Advanced Cardiac Exam. This guarantee covers congenital cardiac disease diagnosed during the OFA Advanced Cardiac Exam via echocardiographic examination that is found to be Abnormal with Moderate or Severe severity. Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Specialty of Cardiology is considered by the American Veterinary Medical Association as the benchmark of clinical proficiency for veterinarians in clinical cardiology, and examination by a Diplomate of this specialty board is required.

Our dogs receive a complete panel of breed-recommended genetic tests. Seller will not breed any dog that is affected by any of the diseases that their breed is tested for. If a dog is a known carrier of any disease, Seller will not pair that dog with another dog that is also a carrier of known disease and therefore guarantees until two years of age Puppy to be NOT AFFECTED by any of the genetic diseases that the Ladies & Studs have been tested for. It is acceptable for the puppy to be Normal (clear) or a Carrier of the disease trait. Paw Print Genetics is the approved diagnostic testing laboratory if concerned Puppy is affected by any disease and must also include parentage confirmation required by Paw Print Parentage™ if testing shows Puppy is affected.

CARING FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY

Our puppies are generally very easy to care for. Here are a few pointers that we think are important reminders of how to care for your new puppy, and are prerequisite for the health guarantee to be valid.

  • Your puppy needs to be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of going home. Find a vet that you feel comfortable with, and keep regular appointments so your vet gets to know your puppy.
    • We DO NOT support the use of Corporate Veterinary Groups. Corporate Veterinarians may feel pressure to up-sell clients to increase profit margins as profit is oftentimes a key driver with large corporations in charge. Please find a local veterinarian that is NOT part of a Corporate Veterinary Group.
  • Keep your puppy up to date on shots, worming and other preventative protocol.
  •  Feed your puppy a good, well-rounded age appropriate diet. Do not underfeed or overfeed your puppy. In general, follow the recommended feeding guidelines.
  • Avoid exposing your puppy to physically stressful situations, such as frequent stair climbing or standing on concrete for long periods of time during his formative years.
  • Provide adequate shelter and make sure there is always fresh clean water available.
  • Make sure your puppy has plenty of exercise on a regular basis, and whenever possible. Don't overdo it in the year as puppies need lots of rest too!
